Market Access Manager

As a Market Access Manager you are focused on growing the business: you negotiate tenders with wholesales and national payers and discuss terms and conditions of the commercial contracts with hospitals. You will also participate in scientific projects..

You will report to the Head of Market Access & Public Affairs and cooperate closely with the local Brand Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Optimize national, regional and local market access of new and launched medicines by tailoring the tools and tactics to local market needs, aligned and coordinated with relevant internal functions for the responsible Therapeutic Areas(TA)
  • Identify, engage, build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, that are needed for the flawless execution of the Market Access Strategies for the responsible TAs
  • Monitor healthcare and political environment and competitive landscape to capture events impacting market access of the medicines and advise Head of Market Access on actions to address national, regional and local threats and opportunities

Requirements:

  • Master Degree in Business Administration, Health Economics, Medical Sciences or a Hospital Pharmacist
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in a Market Access role (Health Economics, outcomes research, pricing, reimbursement, Real World Data gathering) in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Alternatively:
    • At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Advisor, Medical Science Liaison or Medical Manager in the pharma industry
      OR
    • At least 2 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry
      OR
    • Pharmacist or Physician: experience in a hospital environment, worked with clinical trials and joined the formulary committee
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health care systems and payer structures in Norway
  • Well-developed negotiation skills is considered a plus
  • Excellent command of both the Norwegian and English language
  • Team worker: excellent collaboration skills
  • Solid analytical skills, pro-active
  • Business minded and good networking skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills
