Cecilie Fraas Borka
Cecilie Fraas Borka is Partner and Co-Founder of Borka Consulting, with extensive experience from both the life sciences industry and executive search. She brings more than 30 years of combined sector experience, including approximately 10 years in operational industry roles and over 20 years in executive search and recruitment within life sciences.
She works with executive search and recruitment across the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, biotechnology, diagnostics and the laboratory sector, supporting both Norwegian and international companies across the Nordics.
Cecilie holds a scientific background in biology and genetics, including an MSc from Philipps-Universität Marburg and additional studies at Kiel University. This academic foundation provides her with strong domain credibility and particular strength in the recruitment of scientific, medical and highly specialised roles where deep subject-matter understanding is essential.
Prior to her work in executive search, Cecilie held senior roles within sales and marketing at companies such as Schering AG, Abbott and AbbVie, gaining experience across areas including immunology, diabetes and women’s health. She is certified in personality assessment and is known for her personal involvement in every assignment, leading search processes from start to finish.
André Borka
André Borka is Partner and Co-Founder of Borka Consulting, with broad experience from both the life sciences industry and executive search. He has more than 30 years of relevant combined experience, including approximately 14 years in senior industry roles and over 16 years in executive search and recruitment within life sciences.
He works with the recruitment of leaders and specialists across the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics and laboratory markets in Norway, across the Nordics and Europe.
André holds a Master of Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School, specialising in international management, and has completed executive leadership education at INSEAD. His business perspective is strongly grounded in many years at Pfizer, where he held several senior leadership positions within sales and marketing, including Sales Director roles.
This combination of industry leadership experience and a long-standing advisory role provides André with a strong understanding of commercial, regulatory, market access and medical affairs roles within the life sciences sector.
He is a Board Member of INRALS (International Network of Recruitment Agencies in Life Sciences), the only global network dedicated exclusively to specialised recruitment within life sciences.
