Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Scientific Director to our Product and Process Development team in CMC Radioharm, Oslo. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact for cancer patients by driving our rich Targeted Alpha Therapy portfolio forward in close collaboration with cross functional research, development and commercial product centric teams within Bayer, locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in radiochemistry, drug product formulation, aseptic manufacturing and process development.
Plan and run process development studies with the Technical Development Teams to generate data for regulatory submission from early clinical to launch phase.
Oversee and support resource allocation of the highly competent Product and Process Development (PPD) team to meet the needs of the product centric global Product teams in close collaboration with CMC Project leads.
Strongly interact with our Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) network to support seamless technology transfer and setup of manufacturing processes for the entire portfolio in close collaboration with Clinical CDMO Operations Lead.
Be a scientific mentor and coach for the team to support continuous growth of the capabilities of the entire team within process development and scale-up of radiolabeling processes, purification, formulation and aseptic fill/finish.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and reliable processes and compliance with regulatory standards.
Optimize current development processes to support acceleration of the portfolio.
Drive robust process characterization and validation throughout the entire lifecycle of our products.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or MSc in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Radiochemistry.
10+ years of experience in CMC development. At least 5 years in radiopharmaceuticals (diagnostic or therapeutic) are preferrable.
Demonstrated knowledge in aseptic manufacturing and technology transfer.
High interest for and understanding of Design of Experiments and statistical study design.
Proven leadership and team management skills, along with project management experience.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with all levels and functions in the organization in a very dynamic and agile operational environment.
Fluent English/Norwegian
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with development of therapeutic and imaging radiopharmaceuticals. Experience from and/or understanding of radiopharmaceutical analytical method development.
