Our client, a growing pharmaceutical company located in Oslo, Norway is seeking a
Supply Chain Manager
Our client is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Chain Manager to join their team for developing the Supply Chain function.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy – this will include optimising current supplier arrangements (logistics providers) as well as expanding the supply chain for new markets
- Providing purchase orders and managing logistics to facilitate collection and delivery of products
- Managing all operations both inbound and outbound for pharmaceutical products and being the key point of contact for logistics providers e.g. distributors, 3PLs, wholesalers.
- Ensuring all necessary import and export permits are in place to allow goods to move
- Collaborating with individuals across the business to manage and execute the day to day operations
- Creating and owning product demand forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance, providing opportunities to reduce costs
- Develop and implement processes (SOP`s) and KPI scorecard to measure the performance of the supply chain and participate in quality audits
- Issue and review contracts with logistics providers
- Build and maintain good relationships with logistics providers
- Improving the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area (business, finance, engineering, pharma, logistics, supply chain, procurement, etc.)
- 5-10 years demonstrable experience in European supply chain operations
- Experience operating within different regulated environments and with GDP (Good Distribution Practice)
- Experience establishing distribution network and launching products to European markets.
- An understanding of supply-side financial and operational metrics, it is desirable for this experience to have been gained in the pharmaceutical industry
