The company was founded in Iceland in 2004 and has developed a range of innovative solutions on the basis of a large proprietary database featuring more than 3000 patients with clinical outcomes assessed for up to 10 years. In 2015 over 20% of first-time visitors to the largest memory clinic in Iceland were referred to our lab as part of routine workup for differential diagnosis of dementia and we are taking the first steps with similar solutions for ADHD. The rapidly growing Mentis Cura group is seeking a commercial leader to join its corporate headquarters in Oslo, Norway

Director Business Development

To expand the commercial footprint in Europe we seek an experienced Business Development Director that can help build business models and grow clinical use for:

  • SIGLA: Electrophysiology-based differential diagnosis of dementia; CE mark class I
  • SIGLA ES: A prognostic electrophysiological biomarker which can support ruling out imminent progression from a stage of mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer’s Disease. Sigla ES is under clinical development and we aim for CE mark Class II approval by mid-2018.
  • KATLA: Electrophysiology-based assessment of children to help distinguish between ADHD and other disorders with similar symptoms thus supporting decisions regarding appropriate and effective treatment. Katla is CE mark class I approved in Europe.

The successful candidate will work closely with the R&D team in Iceland and Norway and will initially be in charge of setting up clinical pilots that will serve to establish clinical utility and acceptance for Mentis Cura’s products across major hospitals in Scandinavia and in certain Western European countries. The candidate will analyze the relevant market segments, payer environment and competitive conditions and develop a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands.

Commercially solid business models will be generated and plan developed in collaboration with the R&D team to promote inclusion of the products in national clinical guidelines and reimbursement schemes.

Who are you?
The candidate shall have sound commercial instincts and 3-5 years’ business development or product marketing-related experience and knowledge from the Pharmaceutical or Med Tech industries.

Bachelor or Master Degree required (Engineering, Science, Business, Finance or Marketing preferred), MBA or equivalent experience preferred but not required.

The position will be based in the headquarter offices of Mentis Cura in Forskningsparken in Oslo.
