Medical Advisor Onkologi

Som Medical Advisor vil du ha ansvar for AstraZenecas markedsførte produkter og produkter i utvikling innen onkologi. Du skal gi støtte til eksterne medisinske og vitenskapelige eksperter, samt samarbeide med interne stakeholders i AstraZeneca.
Vi søker deg med erfaring innen onkologi

Du må ha mastergrad innen naturvitenskapelige fag, medisin eller farmasi.
Vi vil prioritere kandidater med relevant erfaring og kompetanse innen onkologi eller medical affairs.

Stillingen er kontorbasert på Helsfyr med et kundeorientert fokus.

Medical Advisor Oncology

Based in Oslo office, Norway

The medical advisor provides medical and scientific support of External Customers and Internal Stakeholders primarily in Norway on AstraZeneca’s (AZ’s) marketed products, and compounds in development in the Therapeutic Area Oncology.
The medical advisor engages in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including Key Opinion Leaders and other important decision makers consistent with overall company strategy and Medical Affairs’ Objectives.

Accountabilities

Scientific Expertise:

  • Maintains clinical/scientific expertise in disease state management, AZ brands, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape
  • Acts as a subject matter expert/resource for internal and external customers
  • Responsible for internal training in assigned disease areas and across the portfolio

Scientific Exchange:

  • Engages in collegial dialogue and deliver appropriate clinical/scientific information specific to AstraZeneca’s products
  • Responds to unsolicited customer inquiries and provide focused and balanced clinical / scientific information that supports the safe and appropriate use of AstraZeneca’s products
  • Provides scientific/clinical support and deliver data presentations
  • Identifies and engages key customers using scientific expertise and business knowledge of AstraZeneca’s marketed products and compounds in development

Strategic Relationship:

  • Develops collegial relationships with medical and scientific experts, including Health Care Professionals, consistent with Medical Affairs’ objectives
  • Provides information to investigator/potential investigators on the External Sponsored Research program

 

Customer Insight:

  • Effectively identifies gathers, analyzes, synthesizes and forwards to internal customers relevant new knowledge about the external scientific/medical/regulatory environment.
  • Provides internal stakeholders with actionable items related to brand strategy and clinical development based on customers’ perspectives

Internal tasks:

  • Work across Medical, Brand Teams, and Market Access to define brand strategies, cross functional operational plans and key deliverables including value stories and reimbursement dossiers
  • Work closely with Medical Affairs colleagues to implement the Medical Plan
  • Ensure tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards

 

Minimum experience

 

  • Master degree in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry or natural sciences
  • Thorough knowledge of, or experience from the pharmaceutical industry, in particular from the Medical Affairs or MSL functions
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian
  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health care systems and payer structures in Norway
  • Possesses business oriented thinking, and can apply this without compromising the scientific elements of the work
  • Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships internally and externally
  • Structured and organized
  • Being able to keep deadlines without compromising on quality
  • High ethical standard and good knowledge in pharmaceutical marketing ethical framework

 

Preferred experience/requirements

  • Clinical Experience
  • Experience in the Oncology field (lung cancer and/or immune-oncology)
  • Advanced scientific degree
  • Project management experience

Medical Acumen; you have ability to deliver Medical, clinical and scientific expertise in your therapeutic area/s and medical/scientific knowledge across all therapeutic areas. You are seen as the medical, scientific, and clinical expert and transfer this knowledge into excellent medical brand strategies, medical activity planning and other key deliverables including value stories and reimbursement dossiers. You provide input to R&D on clinical trials and ensure an optimal two way collaboration and communication with R&D. You ensure the best possible medical/scientific level is achieved across the organization in your therapeutic area/s and you take the lead in ensuring the highest possible medical/scientific/clinical knowledge is available for all in Medical working within the same therapeutic area in the Nordic/Baltics.

Business Partnering; drive the Nordic/Local medical health care agenda in your therapeutic area/s proactively and reactively. You develop peer-level relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, other important decision makers, and researchers in a way that is consistent with the overall company strategy and objectives. You drive customer interactions by sharing and gathering medical and scientific knowledge across the portfolio.

Regulations Management; Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, procedures and guidelines across the Nordics. You always seek the highest ethical standard in your everyday and always ensure adherence to all regulations laid down by legislation, procedures and guidelines in all Nordic countries. You work closely with Regulatory and Compliance Officers and you are a role model of setting the highest ethical standards.
